I've got such mixed feelings on this one. I admire the ambition in the premise of the story and it promises so much more than I feel like it delivers.
There are passages towards the end and near the start that really grab me but then the majority of the novel feels bloated with unnecessary detail. Characters relationships and understanding of the central mystery doesn't advance or develop much at all and they ate kargely the same by the end as they were at the beginning.
