2.5 really, read for bookclub
I usually think that horror stories should be shorter, otherwise you can lose the tension. In this case, I would have liked some more on Patricia and the islanders. The rush at the end -reveal of the creature in the creature feature- raised questions for me that I couldn't guess from what I'd read or what came after. Which wasn't many pages because...this is quite short.
