This will probably end up being a 5. The more I think about it, the more I love it. The writing is absolutely gorgeous and dripping with atmosphere. The characters are all believably flawed, and their personalities clash in exactly the ways you would expect them to. Their trauma manifests itself so organically in their actions and mannerisms through the story and not once did I feel like the novel was inauthentically dropping in conflicts or telling me how the characters feel.
