If I could give this less than one star, I would. I read the first 150 pages, and that was enough to know that I was never, ever going to enjoy this book. Lestat is so unbelievably irritating, he overreacts to the tiniest things, he's so self absorbed he's soaked in his own juices. The prose is circular (something is said. Then rephrased. Then said again. Just in case you missed it!). The characters all have terrible opinions. There wasn't a single person I cared about, at all.
