I was told this book had a slow plot and this was definitely true. Still I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these characters in a relatively low stakes environment, and by the end I was celebrating and mourning with them in equal measure. I'm a bit sad that the next books won't follow the same characters, but I'm also excited what other adventures await.

I love this book, and I love this series. This is a book that I think about a lot - I want to know these characters. Like. In real life. Where can I find an irl Sissix? Or Dr Chef? Or Kizzy? I want these characters to be my friends.
This is a book that you can read for comfort. Settle down somewhere cozy. Grab a warm drink (I had hot chocolate!) and immerse yourself in the lives of the crew of The Wayfarer as they attempt to punch a hole in space.

Upbeat gay space novel, with enough adventure and sadness to not be smushy. Loved reading the genuinely different perspectives and cultures. <3
