I haven’t been blown away by a novel in a long time, but wow. The writing is perfect. The ending is at the beginning and it’s not one that would excite many people to keep reading on, but you won’t regret it. Williams turns a very ordinary man’s life into a powerful and penetrating saga that had me trying to avoid an ugly crying face in a public place at the end (Did I succeed? Don't worry about it.)
