This volume contains memoirs by Maeve Gilmore (Peake's widow) and Sebastian Peake (their elder son), which I've reviewed separately:
Maeve's book, "A World Away", 4*, my review HERE.
Sebastian's book, "A Child of Bliss", 2*, my review HERE.
Published completely separately, I've also reviewed daughter Clare's book, "Under a Canvas Sky" which would actually fit far better with Maeve's. I rated it 4*. My review is HERE.
Reviews of my many Peake/Gormenghast books, his words and his art, are on this

"A World Away" is one of the most touching memoirs I've ever read. "Child of Bliss" is less so, but is also a gripping story of a son living in the shadow of a genius.
