When I review a book I often find it hard to put my feelings into words. Sometimes, though, a book touches a part of you that you keep hidden and the words simply pour out on the page. Wishing on a Buttercups was just that book for me. The first book in this series, Blowing on Dandelions, brought back some long forgotten memories from my childhood and spoke to me in its own special way. Wishing on Buttercups touched an inner struggle that I have dealt with since I was a child. I could relate to

Wishing on Buttercups is the second book in the “Love Blossoms in Oregon” series. Blowing on Dandelions was the first and I really enjoyed the story. Beth Roberts has a past she doesn’t really know much about. Being proper would mean you keep your past to yourself for fear of people looking down on her. People would never understand what she has gone through, and she's not sure she understands herself. Beth isn’t into getting too close to people especially men. She doesn’t think she is pretty an

I really enjoyed this story of romance set in the backdrop of the 1880's. The characters of Beth and Jeffery really pulled me into this book. They are both hiding secrets from their past, but as they get to know each other, they become friends. Beth is a artist and Jeffery is a talented writer, yet both of them lack self-confidence in their abilities. As Beth remembers memories from her past, she begins to unravel things that she needed to know.

A nice historical with a little mystery, a couple of very different romances, and some realistic family dynamics that are well developed and fascinating.
I have to admit that I didn't particularly like, Beth, the heroine. She came across as self absorbed, she deliberately misinterprets people's actions and words, she is naïve to the point of gullible, and waffles in her actions at times. I also found her to be tender-hearted, gentle, sensitive to other people's pain, forgiving, loyal, and strong ...more

This is the second book in the Love Blossoms in Oregon series. Many of the characters in this novel were in the first one too. This story focuses mostly on Beth Roberts and Jeffery Tucker.
As much as I loved Blowing on Dandelions, I think I enjoyed Wishing on Buttercups even more. The author creates some very believable characters and brings them to life through writing that really draws you into the story. I found myself being able to picture the various scenes as if I were actually present.

This is the second book in the series, but stands alone as an excellent read as well.
Beth Roberts, has secrets that must be kept, a past she knows very little of, and a stranger whom raised her as her own, and loves her dearly.
Then there is Jeffrey Tucker, a good looking young man with his own secrets.
Add to this a fun filled bunch of characters all living in a boarding house, the ins and outs of living together, as well as romance, mystery, and dealing with reality make for a wonderful read.

Wishing on Buttercups is the second book in the series Love Blossoms in Oregon by Miralee Ferrell. Best Christian Romance novels I have found!! This one is about Beth Roberts and her journey to find her family she was separated from 17 years ago. This story has a way at tugging at your heart. On her journey Beth and Jeffery start to develop a relationship and Jeffery finds out that she is a illustrator for the magazine he writes for. As they continue to try to build a bond he tries to help Beth

What a wonderful story! Miralee Ferrell is an excellent author. I appreciate her way with words and her ability to keep a story from stalling. I was delighted to revisit some characters from the first book in the Love Blossoms in Oregon series, Blowing on Dandelions, as well! Beth was a very well developed character, and I loved the theme of the story tied throughout the book. We are all scarred by our past, some more than others, physically and emotionally. It's who we put our trust in to overc

I must say when reading the first title in this series by Miralee, I had no idea where this story would lead for the main character. She was such a strong woman in this story & showed strength & composer in the events that take place. She faced her past, found her future & can now move on with her life with her family with her. Can't wait to read the story on Stephen who we learned some about in this book. Good work Miralee, can't wait for Daisies!!!
