I didn't realize this was a YA Paranormal story, since all of the authors other books all had adult leads (aka Shannon Guymon). Once I wrapped my head around it, I was able to get into the story.

Late to this party, but I’m usually fashionably late so it fits!
What a great opener to this series. I was turning pages and liked that it dived right in. I also like the different take on “witches”. One character said “witches were put here to protect people and do good.” I like that! My only beef is the lame attempt at a love triangle. Dear heaven why? It’s so clear who’s she meant to be with and there is zero chemistry with the other guy. I don’t miss love triangles and I avoid them at all co ...more
