This book was a perfect combination of being passionately guarded with being passionately extroverted. Dante Crowne is the arrogant, sexy, dominant a**hole who keeps himself guarded. Mandy Bettencourt is the vivacious, beautiful, openingly loving woman who doesn’t have a good track record picking men. These two have a past “interesting” connection and when they end up together in a secluded tiny beach house, that “interesting connection” finally gets uncovered.

A reticent, aloof Dom whose games kept him emotionally remote.
A breezy socialite with more bad headlines than Fiona Drazen.
A remote cabin with the promise of solitude
Forced proximity.
A story so hot it should come with its own fire extinguisher.
I'M BEGGING FOR IT.

Incredible book! Totally nailed this one too! The whole Crown Series is amazing!!
Dante was spoken about a bit in his other brother’s books but he was the one I was most curious about. He’s dark and mysterious and broody. Mandy was a bit in the other books too and I felt so sorry for her and her stupid ex Renaldo.
So in this book idiot Renaldo breaks up with her and Mandy needs a break from reality. After seeing her face plastered all over the tabloids as a home wrecker she needs to get away and ...more

We were missing Dante's story to makes this saga whole. Dante is the more complex of the Crowne men and his past and demons makes him the most deviously handsome control freak. Mandy comes from the same world and when it came crashing down, she started floundering and in need of a soft place to land to regroup and rise about all that happened. She ends up in the Crowne's family cabin, where she will not be welcomed by Dante. They had a brief encounter in the past and it left him with an aversion

I would give this book all the stars! Written with confidence, flair and wonderful verbal dexterity, Crowne Rules has lived up to every expectation that I have when I pick up a book by CD Reiss. Mandy and Dante are both deliciously complex and carry their pasts so very differently. Initially, it is hard to see where they will form that spark, but, as the two voices reveal their characters, understanding arrives.
