I have no words. What a ride! What a fucking epic series that just took over my life for the last week. I’m so sad it’s over. I think the biggest con about this series is that it will leave you with a MASSIVE book hangover. What am I supposed to do with my life now?!?!

These characters were REAL! This was not just a story. It was an experience that shook me to my core. I need to go cry now and read all my fave parts over again.

Sierra Simone took my soul with American Queen and American Prince. Now she has taken my heart, mind and body as well. Burning up every thought and feeling I have ever felt while reading a book.

I have adored this trilogy and was loving it up until the end. For me the end was unbelievable, a total cop out and complete let down on what was one seriously amazing trilogy. I have adored this authors writing, the character connection was superb, the chemistry between the three characters was seriously off the charts and the sex scenes are those that babies are made from. Must Read

I just adored this series. I’m not a King Arthur fan since I never read it but I now had to do some research. I thought it was clever how Sierra portrayed this modern day story. It will make you smile, cry and frustrate all at the same time. I loved Ash, Greer and Embry and loved this story.

Oh boy! Oh My F*cking God! I waited so long for this book. I savored every word, cried many tears, absorbed every joy, until I almost burst with all the emotion it evoked. I'm not a spoiler, so it's difficult to talk about what actually happens here. Let me say a few words about how reading this, the last book of a dark and spirited series, made me feel. Thank goodness for the cues to what has occurred in the story so far. Needing a breather between reading the first two books in series, I appreciated the subtle references that refreshed my memory of the current state of affairs at the end of American Prince. Ash and Greer’s outlook looks bleak with Embry’s commitments keeping them apart.

Having watched a couple of Arthurian movies and television shows, I wondered if I was at a disadvantage when it came to picking up on the similarities in Ash’s Thank goodness for the cues to what has occurred in the story so far. What I didn’t miss out on was a great story with its familiarity not being pivotal to becoming lost in Ash, Greer and Embry’s lives.

Littered with dysfunctional families, the lines crossed were far from shocking. The ramifications of past indiscretions were taking its toll on the three. Just when I thought they had endured it all, another crack would appear in their armour. Each blow weakened their stance but not their resolve. I on the other hand started to wonder how on earth they could continue. I needed them to be together, they needed to be together but fate had other plans.

Again I struggled with what was possible when it came to the goings on between the President and the other politicians. My eyes popped out of my head in shock with the candid sordid phone conversations and hoped for their sake they were not being tapped. If a transcript or recording landed in the wrong hands it would have been catastrophic.

Apart from a particular convenient moment that felt a little bit contrived and an easy fairytale fix in a cut throat political stage, I found American King to be on par with American Queen. It had the same fast pace story along with a good balance of steamy action and mystery. Stolen moments together were hot and when it was the three of them, the heat level intensified. Seduction outside of their realm was pointless and it took a lot for a certain vixen to accept she was never going to be able to compete with what Ash, Greer and Embry shared.

The story was as much about sacrifice as it was about survival. Ash knew the calibre of trust that had been placed upon him. His success was a well-planned and fated journey he had no choice but to continue with. Doing so with his beloved Greer and Embry was a challenge he maintained as a close second. For me it was a case of one for all and all for one, but that’s another story altogether :)

I cannot remember the last time a book gutted me like this. I'm talking the angry ugly cry sobs that your entire body shakes with. I hate you for it Sierra. I hate you for all the pain.
