A new standalone romance from Alessandra Torre, what a great way to kick off 2017!

Kate Martin is tired of her job, wanting to advance in her career and knowing it isn’t going to happen if she stays where she is. She should have known that working for Trey Marks was going to be riddled with tension, just being interviewed by the man set her nerves on fire. But Kate isn’t in the market for a romance, she’s already got a rock on her finger and visions of white picket fences dancing in her head.

Kate Martin is tired of her job, wanting to advance in her career and knowing it isn’t going to happen if she stays where she is. She should have known that working for Trey Marks was going to be riddled with tension, just being interviewed by the man set her nerves on fire. But Kate isn’t in the market for a romance, she’s already got a rock on her finger and visions of white picket fences dancing in her head.

As Kate works hard to turn the failing company around, Trey and she grow close. A friendship forms that is skirting the edges of appropriate and even when Kate realizes that she isn’t happy in her relationship and ends it, there is still too much at risk for her and Trey to turn their relationship into anything more.

Trey Marks has a strict policy about work and relationships. He’s mixed the two before and it ended messy. Toss in his added bit of taboo kink, that he’s certain that Kate is far too innocent to understand, he toes the line, professionalism, friendship and just enough innuendo to keep it interesting. There is no doubt as these two carry on throughout the years that there is an explosive attraction, that their friendship is so beyond ‘just friends’ and innocent flirting. Real feelings exist and real consequences. As Kate works to help Trey turn his company around, they celebrate in the successes all while avoiding the elephant in the room.

And although this is a very slow burn romance, there are plenty of small encounters placed throughout the book that keep you on the edge, knowing that once they really give in, all bets are off and it is going to be combustible.

It’s been a long time since I read a book were insta-love didn’t happen and I found that I was just holding on till these two made it happen. I loved the friendship they shared. I loved that they skirted the moral line of appropriate behaviors – innocent in nature, not giving into temptation fully, but unable to keep the lines from becoming blurred. It felt like they were a couple throughout the story, even if they weren’t. They fit. They were perfect for each other and I could not wait until they both saw that all the risks were worth it.

A stellar way to start of 2017. A fantastic romance from Alessandra Torre that will no doubt soar the charts.

This book had me tied in knots

This book had my emotions tied up in so many knots i had to walk away at times. Trey will suck you in and keep you wanting more and at the same time make you want to smack him. Kate is a beautiful smart and savvy woman. Their attraction is addicting. The push and pull of their relationship is mind boggling.

Wholly Hell what a book! My god how does the woman do
this to me every time. Really Alessandra Torre just has a way
with words. That is truly an art to behold. Her stories are so
well written you feel like, this is some naughty secret
someone told her. As if they whispered it in her ear and she
just put it to paper. It’s just so life like.

This book is not your typical love story. Sometimes the path
to love has twist and turns you must take to get there. Take

Love in lingerie!

Great book! Of course I was going to like this book! It’s from one of my favourite authors! These two are hot... when they finally get together that is.... so until then there is a lot and I mean a lot of sexual attraction that makes you want to yell at the characters!
