I'll try and make this short.

I LOVED 'First Touch' (first book in this duet) so much that it was a tie for book of the year for me in 2015. So 'Last Kiss' quickly became my most anticipated read of 2016. To say I was left feeling underwhelmed would be an understatement.

Laurelin Paige will forever be one of those authors that I will drop everything for! Just so you all know... If you know one of her books is about to be released, do NOT expect anything from me...it will not happen until I have completely devoured the entire book!

Reasons for this are: I love Laurelin Paige! Her characters are always rich, deep and complex!

Her men are fantastic! You will crave them. Reeve is no different. He is loyal, as misguided as his loyalty is with one person in particular Laurelin Paige will forever be one of those authors that I will drop everything for! Just so you all know... Her men are fantastic! You will crave them. Reeve is no different. He is loyal, as misguided as his loyalty is with one person in particular, it is an admirable quality. I love the way he wants to protect those he cares about, first and foremost he puts Emily's feeling and concerns above any body else's. The way he takes charge of and handles Emily is seriously arousing and panty melting. He has this ability to just know what she needs, even if she doesn't. I loved how in Last Kiss we got to see a softer more compassionate and passionate side of Reeve. He was so much more loving, caring and open towards Emily, even if she couldn't recognize this for herself. I fell in love with him even more in this book.

Her females are strong! They may not be perfect, but they are not weak by any means! You will relate to them, to some extent and you will admire them! In Last Kiss we definitely get to figure Emily out. We finally get to understand her and her need to please people. There are moments I really wanted to yell at Emily to stand up for herself and fight for what she wants instead of constantly pleasing Amber and bowing to her needs! I wanted her to put her feeling ahead of anyone else's! I think her loyalty to Amber was more out of obligation than anything else! Amber has always been that one person, until Reeve, that was there for her and seemingly looked out for her.

I love to hate all of her antagonists, they are manipulative, twisted and so completely detestable!
Amber is an absolute thunder c#nt! She is so friggen manipulative and just seriously despicable! Her ability to manipulate everyone around her, seriously had me shaking my head, especially because you don't even realize what she's done until it's almost too late! She definitely mastered the art of manipulation.

Her stories are always so compelling, intriguing and completely suck you in. You literally do not want to put it down. I am always on the edge of my seat reading her books, just trying to figure out just what the hell is going on! It never happens...word to the wise, you can try! But you will never figure it all out, you will miss something! I promise you will! Just when you think you have it figured out...BAM! You don't!

This story had my heart racing, pounding out of my chest and left me breathless at times.
I sincerely hope you remembered to buckle back up for this emotional roller coaster ride and remember to hold on tight! There is so much angst and tension that you will literally have to take some time just to absorb and calm your racing heart and catch your breath. The mind games between them all have my head snapping back and forth, like I'm watching a tennis match. I'm think I ended up with mental whiplash?!

I just simply LOVED this book... Every single dark and twisted second of it! It was totally worth the nearly 6 month wait! ...more

I read First Touch at the end of 2015 and was suckerpunched by that doozy of a cliffhanger. Worst, I found out that the sequel does not come out until June.

Here we are 6months later and I can't believe that half of my year has gone by! And it is finally here. The good news is that the cursed sequel is not the case here.

This was a good sequel. Enough mystery to keep you in suspense. It was well paced and well written.

But it lacked a little something for me. And I think it was an emotional conn ...more

Ok I loved First Touch so I was willing to spend $9.99 on this ebook....yes I said $9.99!! But I can't tell you how disappointed I am!! Emily was such a pathetic, MC that I wanted to strangle!! Reeve was great but it's like even he almost got ruined for me considering how much he took from the pathetic Emily!! I don't want to give too much away....though there's not much to give away but after First Touch I had all these awesome theories but then (view spoiler) ...more

This is the conclusion to our story. It begins right where First Touch left us with the shock of finding Amber. Now to discover the truth of what happened to her.

The truth is an elusive mind-teaser, with still so many secrets being kept. Reeve has been as forthcoming as his nature allows. Trust and what to believe is the undercurrent throughout this story. This series… just WOW. WOW. WOW!!!!! This series just sucked me in and spit me out. It but me through the ringer and I could not get enough of it! Ms Paige was able to spin a tale of half truths and secrets that had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. With this being a second book in a series I don’t want to give any spoilers but this book is just SUPERB, PHENOMENAL, and AMAZING!! ! This will definitely be on my best of 2016 list and I bow down to the greatness that is Laurelin Paige! ...more
