Sometimes, you need to get a little dirty... Dirty (Dive Bar) - Kylie Scott

I was so excited that Kylie Scott was starting a new series, and DIRTY did not disappoint. Lydia and Vaughan were so great together that I was able to easily put aside my reservations about the whole insta-love thing that was going on. I do wish their relationship had been developed a bit more before they had their HEA, but I still really enjoyed it.

True to Kylie Scott form, Dirty is a wonderfully fun read! It opens with with a hilarious scene involving a bride on the run and the story blooms into a a young woman finding her footing. Lydia is a quirky and endearing heroine, thrust into life of a musician and want to be rock-star named Vaughan. Vaughan is a deliciously upfront straight shooter, a little down on his luck but home in Coeur d'Alene for a brief re-boot.

Lydia runs away from her wedding after finding out her husband to be is more interested in the best man than her. She breaks into a stranger's house to use the shower. Ooookay. She meets Vaughan, a musician on hiatus after his band broke up. They banter back and forth about their love lives, and I was a little taken back by how comfortable they were with each other after just meeting.
