Overall, I absolutely loved this series and Gideon and Eva. I loved seeing how far the two have come as a couple in this final book. It would have been a 5 star book for me, but unfortunately, the last 20% of the book fell extremely flat. It's actually pretty upsetting to me that the author chose to take that direction at the end and focus the final pages of this beautiful couple on a contrived, unnecessary plotline that served no purpose. The journey has finally ended. This, for me at least, has been a journey watching Gideon and Eva grow into adulthood and dealing with their past.

The excitement of their original rush to love and lust has now calmed down to a deeper, emotional and trusting relationship. It is still titillating, but it is finally a mature love where no longer have to love each other to quiet the old demons following both of them.

It is the trust between these two characters that makes the difference. Eva will alway ...more
