OMG! So good! I would read it again, but my mom would be mad for not reading books that I have 2. So good, like I said before. I may not like death, blood, vampires, werewolves, that kind of stuff, but I loved this book.

Okay, I do not have this book on me, because I lent it to my best friend Haylene. It has also been a while since I read it and I just started the fourth book. So I might forget something and I might put in something from the second or third books. So if that happens I am sorry and I will do my best not to forget anything. (And I do realize that I am probably the only person who read my reviews. So I am basically talking to myself here)

So if there actually is another human being reading this I wi Okay, I do not have this book on me, because I lent it to my best friend Haylene. So if there actually is another human being reading this I will start out by saying that suck at reviews. I know how most people who put up reviews on their Goodreads profile will basically put the back of the book into their own words and then will write two sentences about how they thought that the book was "soul capturing" and "heartwarming". NO OFFENSE IF YOU DO THAT. IT'S TOTALLY COOL IF THAT'S YOUR STYLE THAT IS JUST NOT HOW I DO THINGS SO BARE WITH ME. My personal opinion (that you don't have to agree with) is that is you wanted to read the back of the book you would read the back of the book, but when you click on someone's review of a book u are (or should be) looking for their honest opinion about the book. So here is my review of City of Bones by Cassandra Clar. (Who am I kidding, I am basically just going to rant so remember I warned you)

Okay, first of all, I am going to say that this book has some of my all-time favorite book quotes in here. Here are some I really loved “Your friend's poetry is terrible," he said.
Clary blinked, caught momentarily off guard. "What?"
"I said his poetry was terrible. It sounds like he ate a dictionary and started vomiting up words at random.”

“You're an idiot."
"I've never claimed to be otherwise.”

And when Simon walked into Clary's house at the beginning of the book and luke yelled "Jesus" and Simon was like "no it's just me but I have been told that the resemblance is remarkable" LOL.

Let's talk about Alec for a minute. When Jace told Clary he would hit back he SO was not kidding. He punched her. I mean yeah she kind of deserved it. But uh. I totally didn't see him being gay and I usually am pretty good at predicting stuff. When he jumped in front of that greater demon the only thought I could form was what the heck? What the heck? What the heck? Times like a billion. That was Clary's fault. I didn't like him at all but I would have been really mad if he had died.

My rating: 3.5 stars (yeah, I clicked the space in between 3 and 4)

So, I feel kinda weird being in between on this one. I usually love this kind of story, which I did - that's why I am going to get started on the 2nd book right away. But, I can't help but drag the stars down a bit due to how long it took me to love it. I was snail-pacing for 3 days, it was just when I was half way through the story that I couldn't seem to put the book down - but as I said, I got to this point after reading half ...more

Okay let's start with the end. (view spoiler)I called that valentine was clary's dad a while ago so that didn't shock me. Okay, what the heck jace? I honestly don't think that clary and jace are related. Who else was confused when clary walked in and jace was like "he's my father" i thought that he meant valentine explained some senario that michael wayland took in his son and raised him like his own i didn't realize until like the very end of the book or maybe it was in the second book that valentine was impersonating michael wayland. And when i realized that it took me awhile understand that he faked his death. But I still don't know why he did that. I thought it was kind of funny in a disturbing way when clary thought something along the lines of "So you're suggesting that we all go live in a farm house. With a father who is a sicopath. A mother who is in a magically induced coma. A daughter who wants to murder you. And two kids who are in love with each other. Just one big happy family." Idk why but i started laughing when i read that.
