Children's fantasy book about girl and her grandmother who (I think) lived in a wood. Probably published in 1940s or early 1950s.

ABANDONED. Children's book - much loved. Heroine may have been called Bobby, she had a tortoise. She was an amateur detective. Possibly lived with an old aunt. There may have been a tree house.
