989769 I found an interview in The Atlantic of author Marjorie Liu on Scribd. I just had to share this memorable quote on what it’s like to write comics:

“Ultimately, a comic writer is writing for the artist, and a script will not be read by anyone except whoever is behind the scenes. In the best moments, I think of my scripts as love letters to artists. I want to give them the best story possible so that they will have the best time possible drawing these things. It's not just their livelihoods; they also invest in your work creatively and emotionally.”

I'm reading Marjorie Liu on the Road to Making Monstress on Scribd. Check it out: https://www.scribd.com/article/358928829

989769 Hey guys! 2 things - 1) please send or post to GoodReads your nominations for next time, and 2) does Tues Nov 26 work for you? We will also schedule a mid month meeting in about 2 weeks.
989769 Hi everyone! We will gather at Three Mugs this coming Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7 to talk about Crawdads. Please be thinking about the next book to nominate. :)
989769 I'm working my way through this book...lyrical prose and some suspense. Talked about it with my stepmom and she felt it wasn't a believable plot. Do you agree?
989769 Hey friends! looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday Oct. 1 for book club. We will finish discussing Snow Crash and begin discussing Where the Crawdads Sing, if there's time. How are you liking the new book so far? U'm enjoying how lean and spare the narration is. it feels to me like there is not a word in the book that doesn't serve some essential purpose.
989769 The votes are in! Our next book, after we discuss Snow Crash Oct. 1, will be Delia Owens' Where the Crawdads Sing.
