I believe that the purchase of Goodreads by Amazon is a great opportunity for the company, book lovers, and books in general. There are many people who have concerns and reservations about the deal. I read a clearly biased blog post in the Wall Street Journal that raised the issue of Goodreads recommendations not appearing in the iBookStore as a result of the deal. Apple can easily build or buy their own network. The issue only came about because Goodreads recommendations are so great and the network is so good. NetworkEtiquette.net
