Just wanted everyone to know of a new indie book release of note -- "Losing Tim" by literary great Janet Burroway, by Think Piece Publishing, a social advocacy indie press up in Minneapolis. It's a beautiful read, reminiscent of Joan Didion's "Year of Magical Thinking" -- painful, but insightful, and compassionate -- it's about Janet's son Tim, who was a soldier in Iraq and came home with PTSD and committed suicide. The book documents Janet's processing of her grief and her understanding, such as she could find one, of the actions that led to Tim's decision. It's truly an unforgettable read and we're hopeful it will help a lot of people -- we're pledging 5 percent of first-month sales to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and happy to donate books to families going through a similar life event.
