The topic for June's group post is Favourite Protagonists & Main Characters.
All we need from you is who your favourites are and a little bit about why you love them.
You can choose more than one if you'd like, however we may not be able to feature them all (as always it depends how many responses we receive)
All replies will need to be in before June 5th as the post is due to be published on the 8th.
Please get do get in touch and let us know your choices!

Hi Suneeta,
If you think that your book may be well-suited to one of our reviewers (find their profiles here - http://bloggersbookshelf.blogspot.co.... ) please send an email to bloggersbookshelf@gmail.com letting us know & we will pass on the request to the appropriate person :)

As you might know if you saw April's LOL Lit post the topic for May is 'Should We Judge Books By Their Covers?'
This month we're looking to create something similar to the March post (ebooks) with opinions for and against the topic.
Do covers influence your decision when choosing what to read?
Will you purchase a particular edition to match the rest of a series, or perhaps you hate buying the movie versions of covers?
Get involved in the discussion by letting us know your opinion on all things book covers!
The post is due to go live on May 11th so you have until the 8th to send over your answers via email, tweet (@blog_bookshelf) or the Goodreads group page.
Thank you!
Erin

Hope to see some of you there! :)

Here's what we are looking for:
FAVOURITE FUNNY CHARACTERS - who are your favourite funny characters and why do they make you laugh?
FUNNIEST BOOK QUOTES - tell us a quote that made you laugh! (and which book it is from)
BEST COMEDIC BOOKS - what is your favourite book to read when you're feeling sad? Which authors writing makes you smile?
LAUGH OUT LOUD SCENES - describe a funny book scene that made you laugh out loud!
Whether you want to submit an answer for all four categories, just one, or even 2 examples for one category that's fine! We can't guarantee we will be able to include all of your answers if you do send in multiple ones (it depends on how many responses we get) but feel free to send as many as you like - if you want to you can always indicate which one you would prefer us to use.
The post will go up on the blog on 13th April so we would like all responses by Wednesday 10th April.
Feel free to ask anyone else you think might be interested in getting involved!

Thank you for your opinion Nora, I will include it in our blog post next week!

I am a big library fan, I visit my local library at least once a week (t..."
Thank you :)
Look out for the blog post next Saturday!

That's absolutely fine! Thank you :)

Great!
You can either leave your answer in a comment here or email it to bloggersbookshelf@gmail.com :)

Its that time again where we are starting work on a new group collaboration post for the blog. The topic for March is ebooks in a debate we're lovingly calling 'Team Paper vs. Team Plastic'.
If you'd like to get involved then we'd love to hear from you :)
All you have to do is let us know which team you're siding with - Paper (we stand by the printed word!), Plastic (ebooks are the future!) or you can choose the neutral team who like the idea of having options and want to have it both ways!
If you want to you can also provide any reasons behind your choice of team, for example...
- what are the pros and cons of ebooks/the printed word?
- have you actually tried out ebooks or do you just dislike the concept?
- what is it you love about reading an actual book?
- do you like to collect books and series?
- how do you think ebooks have affected the way we read? & how are they affecting libraries?
- are ebooks encouraging more people to read?
- do you think the prices for ebooks are fair?
- if you're choosing the neutral team why do you like to have the option to read both ways?
Obviously you don't have to answer all of these questions - they're just there to give you a few ideas!
Hope to hear back from lots of you soon :)

Thank you to everyone who took part! Next month we will be discussing ebooks so keep your eyes out for information on that! :)
