Tell your daughter to find a college with a great creative writing program where she can work with real live authors. That will be critically important.

It is a really hard job, because you're on 24/7 and it's global. Everyone wants a little piece of you and that can be very exhausting! But - I am EXTREMELY lucky to have this problem!

Don't expect a big break. That's a fallacy. You have to work damn hard, and expect to work hard, so that you can gradually build up your fan base. If you think you will be an overnight success you are bound to be disappointed.
