What did you think about A Tale of the Time Being? What did you think about the (fictional) character of Ruth echoing the author?
Discuss what you thought of Rebecca here. Have you seen the film? How does it compare? What are the strengths/weaknesses of du Maurier's writing? Do you think the book has stood the test of time?
I never thought of that, but you're absolutely right! As the story moves forwards and backwards in time, we not only see different types of texts represented but the evolution of language (both spoken and written). It also makes me think about the theme of things changing but essentially staying the same (as represented by a "Cloud Atlas"). The language changes but we're still able to understand the meaning (for example, "disneys" and "true true").What did everyone think of the changes/stays the same theme?
What did you think of the book? Here's a question to get you started:Which was your favorite tale...and least favorite?
What did you think of the book? Here's a question to get you started: If you were to file a codex vitae, capturing all you've learned throughout your life, what would it contain?
What did you think of the book? Have anything to add that you forgot to say at the book group? Say it here!

Discuss "The House of Velvet and Glass" here! Here's a question to start you off:What is the same or different about our contemporary use of opiates in modern medicine? Consider the differences between Sibyl’s use and that of her father.
Use this thread to discuss "The Snow Child" by Eowyn Ivey. Here are some discussion questions to get you going (warning, these questions contain *spoilers* if you haven't finished the book): http://www.litlovers.com/reading-guid...
