893093 Yeees, I'm ready for this! A whole week this time?!

TBR:

1. The Book of M

@55%: Okay, it took me a long time (half the book, as it turns out), but I finally understand this world (or as much as it's meant to be understood, I suppose), and I'm on board. It's such a unique take on dystopia!

@73%: I can't decide if I should be terrified or sad or hopeful or ... what. I have all these emotions. Someone tell me how I'm supposed to feeeeel. *cries*

2. Gemina

3. The Assassin's Curse

4. The Pirate's Wish

5. The Manticore's Vow

In all honesty, I probably won't manage to read all of these this week (especially with how big Gemina is), but I'm sure going to try to get through as many as I can. :3 After all, what's the point of a readathon if you don't challenge yourself.

893093 Yay, new readathon! I panicked at first, thinking it was going to be short like last time (and realistically, I won't have much time to read tomorrow). But I can totally do five days (though, we'll see how much I actually get through because Easter).

Update: Wow, work is kicking my butt. Yay money, but jeez, overtime sucks. x.X

Guess I won't do prompts this time, because I have some books I really need to get through.

1. The Waking Forest (at 50% before the readathon, but I need to finish this, and it's slow going).
STATUS: Finished.
★★★☆☆
That ending was ... not what I was hoping for? Wasn't a big fan of the tone shift. LOVED the first two-thirds, but the last one-third really fell down for me. It felt too easy and tied up in a neat little happily ever after bow.

2. Illuminae
STATUS: pg 19/599

So, I totally started this on my Kindle from a library loan ... and this is not Kindle material, imo. Partly because my Kindle doesn't zoom, and it won't change the font in images, and this book is 100% images. So I promptly bought it, and just received it. I LOVE it so far, though.

3. Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow
STATUS: 32%
Yes. Just yes. Everything is yes. Also, I'm not sure if Jupiter is supposed to have a British accent, but he totally does in my head. You know, the really lovely sort that's upbeat and lilts up at the end of words, as if it's making the language dance like a puppet on strings. *sigh*

4. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

5. Romanov

Will I get through all of these in the next five days? Heck no, especially with Illuminae being a giant of a book. But hey, dream big, right? xD

893093 Definitely starting this on Friday! Was just saying I was hoping to log some good reading time tomorrow. Or today, I guess, since it's after midnight ...

I'll be finishing:

Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman

Will also be trying to squeeze in:

The Night Before Krampus by Peter Johnson Some Small Magic by Billy Coffey

893093 I'm so in for this! Love these things. :D

My goal is to read one for each challenge, although that's probably more than slightly optimistic since two of them are pretty long ...

1. Diversity Rep - Traitor to the Throne

Progress:

Page 67 - I MISSED THIS WORLD SO MUCH SINCE THE FIRST BOOK. *cries happy tears* Amani's sarcasm is pretty much in line with my own and it. Is. Glorious.

2. Something short - In the Dark Corner, I Stood Alone

3. Favorite color (blue) on the cover - My Grave Ritual

*rubs palms together* I can't wait to get started. :3 I've been looking forward to reading these books, so I'll gladly accept an excuse to focus on it. xD

893093 Hey, everyone! I'm Sammie, 28—book blogger, writer, collector of strays, awkward book dragon.

I like to try to read a little of everything, but I particularly love YA, fantasy, dystopia, and anything particularly comedic. Terry Pratchett, Brandon Sanderson, and Neal Shusterman are probably my favorite authors, but gosh, there are so many I love. xD It's hard to choose.

I love readathons, because it inspires me to commit more time to reading instead of making excuses for why I can't. :3
