Hope you all have good books!

I am going to start with

There is a 5 in the title
4:50 from Paddington"
I was confused about the use of numbers in titles with cards so I clarified with the mods that a number can only be when used in a title is when it is a single number. So the 5 in the 4:50 title is part of 50 so cannot be used as a 5 card. The 4:50 could be used for the 4 but we unfortunately don't need a 4 Yellow.

I just loved

Green 0 or Green 2

Blue 7

Hi Joyce, Thanks for checking your color books. Please see message 63 for the color cards we need. The books you mention do not meet the requirements but double check the characters and locations because they might.

I believe you have posted in the wrong group.

Every year, it has changed from group to group, so I just wanted to make sure I was under..."
Yes, our captain has been captain in the past and said she prefers to handle reporting through this thread. I am following her lead because I haven't been on a team that does it this way. That is one of the fun things about UNO- getting to know different people's ways of doing things.

We are going to plan and report through posts in this thread. There is an example of a completion post in Message 7. I personally make my own spreadsheet of my TBR for Uno and plan through that.

I will be starting with The Swimmers but these other two will come later in the month. Just let me know later if you want these read.

UNO starts a week from tomorrow and I am getting excited. Hope you all are thinking about what you will be reading.
I hate to sound like a broken record but it would really help if you could look through the books you are thinking of reading for UNO and seeing if you have any that match our color cards. These are the hardest to find and so far we only have 4 identified out of the 11 we need. It's good to have early discussions about these because sometimes the color is questionable and it may need to be run by our captain or the captain's group for a decision. It's nice to be have those cards squared away before UNO starts.
If you have any questions about the cards we need, feel free to post in our thread.

Not sure if there is enough blue in it. This is a re-read for me from years ago, I know the place the stor..."
Hi Jen,
I think it looks blue. Let's see what Annalisa says. I am curious if we have any other mood readers in our group. I am a bit of a planner (especially with UNO) but I can be swayed by library holds that appear that I did not plan for.

Here are some books I have liked for color cards during UNO in the past:
Yellow 5. In Concrete by Anne Garreta.
Yellow 6. The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson.(author)
The 22 Murders of Madison May by Max Berry. character Staples
Green 3. Greenwich Park by Katherine Faulkner. character Helen
Back in the Burbs by Tracy Wolf and Avery Flynn. place Huckleberry Hills.
Just a reminder, the draw 4s can be used for any of the color cards we have. So if you have a Blue 6 we can use it in addition to the one I will be reading.
Looking forward to seeing what others will be reading this challenge!

My daughter is a sophomore at Ohio State and I am an alum of OSU so we have been to Columbus a few times.
