So, hat? yes or no?
A Clearing in the Wild (Change and Cherish Historical #1) by Jane Kirkpatrick"

I looked up the cover on amazon and there you are able to see the hat, so go for it :)

No, it doesn't need to be the first genre listed, it needs to be on the main page - the one visible with the book, blurb, reviews etc.

For National Letter Writing Day: Would long, informative emails work, or do they need to be actual letters?"

I have a book where the MC is hand writing letters for an assignment. Does it count if the letters are not mailed? "

It still counts, the MC is still writing the letters.

Somewhere in between. The dog don't need to be the main focus of the book. But it needs to be a part of the story. For example a scene where the MC is playing with the dog/walking the dog or interacts with it in another way.

Hope that makes sense.

Someone has to be first :)

In this case they need to be physical letters, I will accept postcards though as they still gets sent in the mail.

88432                                        ~BINGO Mini Challenge~

April is a month for celebrations. We all know of April Fools, but there are so many more celebrations in April. Have you ever heard of the International Snailpapers Day, Chocolate-Covered Cashews Day or the International Marconi Day? No? Well, those are only a few of those you might have missed. So join in and let's celebrate April!

This is an optional mini challenge for our UNO players.

◈ Books started after April 13 and read between April 13 - April 30 count.
◈ Books started before April 13th do not count
(start of challenge times under spoiler)
(view spoiler)

◈ As a team, get "BINGO" by reading books for five squares horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to create a line (there are 12 possible lines)
◈ Only one book per square (so one book may be used for more than one "line")
◈ For each line completed, your team receives a "BINGO Bonus" of being able to chose one card in any April hand that you can claim double points for
◈ Books used for BINGO do not need to be separate books for what you are claiming for your UNO hands
◈ The usual book length rules apply,
◈ Team spreadsheets have been updated with a BINGO tab so that you can track your books and claim your bingo lines

88432 Yes, you will get a PM with information about which team you will be assigned to etc. Though it might be a while yet. Karen who's in charge of the teams is sleeping for the moment, but will look into it as soon as she can.

88432 Alison wrote: "Hi. I'm reading a book that's exactly 100 pages (I didn't realise when I started). Can I still use it or would it need to be 101 pages?"

Books need to be more than 100 pages and 25 000 words. So you'd need 101 pages for it to count.

You just need the word, not the meaning, so the color is fine :)

Yes you can use books not used for the regular uno cards. You will choose which card to double for points (though each uno card can only be doubled once) - it doesn't need to be for the books read for this mini-challenge.

You can count books started after the challenge started 1st of March but finished after 14th of March. :)
