haha don't worry Laura! I'm an extreme planner. I asked tons of questions before I put anything down so we are good

I asked in the mods group and that they said its okay. what we are using it for is draw 2 (card 5 and wild card) and then someone else is using it for reverse. I can have her look at it but from what they told me in the mods folder, its okay

I'll give you the easiest one! You can take Wild Draw 4 for hand 1. Just read whatever book you want and it'll count! Let me know when you decide the book so I can update it

Now all we need for the first set is 8 and Wild Draw 4.

8 (Eight)
Read a book that either:
- has an 8 or Eight in the title
- has a title starting with E
- has an author first name or surname starts with E
- has a character with a first name, surname or nickname starting with E
- is set in a place name starting with E ; or
- is book 8 in a series

Kirsten books only count if they are finished on or after Feb 1st so we can't use that book

No problem! Basically, if we read all of hand one, some of hand two, but all of hand four: we would only get counted for hand one and the things that we did for hand two. So we should try to keep it in order as much as possible. I will put those in the spreadsheet!

You can start them any time you like as long as you finish them on or after Feb 1st.

We can start hand two before hand one is finished but hand one is currently all filled up so I'm just trying to fill in hand two so we know who is reading what.

We COULD theoretically skip around and read whichever hand we wanted, but it's easier if we try to go in order and then we'd get more points because we'd be filling up more hands.

I will put you down for 2 and 4. Can you give me the reasons for them?

Just a note about the Reverse card:

It does not have to be read DURING the challenge. Let's say I read Hot Six by Janet Evanovich last year but then someone else wanted to read it during the challenge, it would count for reverse. So if someone wants to read a book but doesn't see if it fits anywhere, see if anyone else has read it if there is a reverse card open!

Thanks Alexa! If you want to look for books that would fit the second hand on the spreadsheet (there is a link to it in the second comment) then let me know and I'll fill it in!

I'm going to start The Secret Place whenever I finish this book so I can finish it on or near Feb 1st and move onto the second hand.

I'll also be looking for books that fit with those!

We use the Draw 2 card for The Secret Place. We use the "wild" card and the 5 card. For Wild, it can be card 7 with because the title starts with S and then we use card 5 because it's the 5th in the series (and because her last name is French)

Then we can also use it for Reverse. Altogether, it would be 75 points and three cards off the board. Let me know if that's how you want to do it and I'll set it up in the spreadsheet!

Any books finished ON or AFTER Feb 1 counts. So say you start a book right now that will fit in a challenge for roll 1, but finish it on Feb 2- it will count. If you finish it January 31- it won't count even though it would fit.

Does that make sense?

That's a good idea, Laura. We can also do that with The Secret Place. If you read it first, you can take 8 and I'll take reverse. If I read it first, I can take 8 and you can take reverse.
