88432 We made a pretty big dent on the Skips, those are not that hard to come by but we had so many, we're ok now. We can start to fill in order to get hands completed. Let's shift our focus on the mini. Cards will start to fall into place on the Official Board.

Don't forget about the color cards though.

88432 Good morning.

@Felicity I moved American Dirt to the Reverse card left, and we can use Kaylee's book for a 5.

Mini tasks are in, very similar for what we did in March. So please check if you can fit any of your books, and if you have next reads candidates log them in the spreadsheet.

88432 Hey everyone.

The April mini starts in two days. So if you're about to finish a book or just started one, don't rush it ;). All books finished on/after April 15 are good for the mini.

88432 Ok, I updated Lynne last inputs and it seems that with Kaylee's Addie and my book read by Felicity we will cover all our Reverses, nice!

Skip's and 5's are the next pesky target, and of course finish the color ones. But whatever you're reading contributes, the easy ones still abound.

I think this strategy will work wonders once the mini comes in. We can focus on it and cover a lot easier the cards left.

88432 @Lynne that's right, Kaylee and I can take care of that. I didn't catch that one yet, did not see it on the April sheet.

It's not only a good book, is a good UNO book, is also a 5 and a 7 XD. But Reverse definitely is what we need more now.

88432 @Kaylee Yeah, that book is really good.

Here comes the nagging patrol... please, log in the spreadsheet all the books you've finished so far. It helps to see how we're doing.

So far we're on track with the color cards. Next on priorities are the Reverse and Skips, so you could look for the K's and P's on your TBR.

I don't think so, not enough green.

88432 There's so many books to list, but I think two of them have a sentimental value to me. I read Cujo when I was a teenager, and from that moment I became a reader. I've read a few books before that but I remember being so engaged and crying at the end that I loved the experience and became a habit.

The other one is The Selfish Gene. I just had quit my job to be a stay at home mom, but I kept reading science books on the few quiet moments I had and after I finished that one I felt the science bug again so I decided to get my PhD.

88432 I only can read (comfortably) print books with natural light, so I read those during the day. I read e-books late in the day or at night. I listen to audiobooks in my car, while waiting or doing chores.

I find better to read deeper novels or more difficult non-fiction subjects on print, I like to move around easily between pages and make notes. I leave the lighter less complicated books for audio.

I'm drinking a beer. Because it's Monday.

From the list of books in common I could recommend What the Wind Knows or Daisy Jones & The Six, maybe something like The Hate U Give can keep you interested.

88432 Being April 2nd, there's not much to update.

- Five books completed already, cool!
- For the members that didn't log any color cards, you could focus on finding the 5's and Reverse. If someone has more books planned please log them so we can check if we've read them. Or Check the list already logged, maybe there's something you have wanted to read.
- Even if the color card spots are taken log a book if you have one for those cards. We need extra color cards for WD4's.

Hope you have a great weekend.

88432 @Kaylee Yeah , I realized this is more a luck game. The fun part is to have a target and reach it, working as a team. At least we can say we did our part.

@Felicity You're not talking about the Moonflower Murders one? hehe, is it bad? I'm having a similar situation with Verity, maybe this is its month.
I'm on a peer review waiting period. That means mini-sabbaticals to me, at least for this month. I hope I can ramp up my reading too.

88432 woohoo! I updated the official Spreadsheet, we got completion bonus, Good job everyone!

@Kaylee The blue book is not on your UNO shelf, but I linked the one from your Read books. We'll wait for the double check/clearance from our captain :D.

88432 We are three books away from completion of the mini:

Lynne Lost in a Good Book
Vivi The Air He Breathes
Lynne Evans Above

Let me know if one might not be finished, I'll see if I can find something short in audio for one those tasks.

88432 Felicity wrote: "Goodness Veronica- don't feel you have to read all the books yourself! LOL. Looks like you picked 12 of the 18 books to read."

Hahaha, maybe the color ones. I have an Excel with my catalog and this month I added a column with cover color, so I find them very easily. If down the road someone reads something for that card before I get to them that's good. It's nice to know we have options.
