Thank you for your post. I remember that particular version of the movie quite well. To tell you the truth, it might've been the best one.

I thought this group would have a little more activity than this. A long time ago, I hosted a similar group on Yahoo and the activity was much, much better. Over 2,000 people belonged to it. I will still keep going though.

The next book I really want to read is Collide Into You. It seems like it's a romance, which is interesting. You don't really see too many of them in this genre. Here is a synopsis of the book.

The story takes place in the early 21st century against a background of an overpopulated Earth with a violent, dysfunctional society. Elderly billionaire Johann Sebastian Bach Smith is being kept alive through medical support and decides to have his brain transplanted into a new body. He advertises an offer of a million dollars for the donation of a body from a brain-dead patient. Smith omits to place any restriction on the sex of the donor, so when his beautiful young female secretary, Eunice Branca, is murdered, her body is used. He changes his name to Joan Eunice Smith, with the first name given "the two-syllable pronunciation" Jo-Ann to mimic the sound of his original name.

One of the best and first books to deal with the concept of body swapping was Turnabout by Thorne Smith. This was later made into a movie. Sally Willows envied her adman husband his glamorous work; Tim Willows felt Sally lived in ease and luxury while he was sweating to pay the bills. So an ill-tempered minor god, tired of their bickering, worked a modest miracle...

...and Sally Willows, no occupying her husband's body, experienced the full horrors of the Nationwide Advertising Agency, while Tim, now outwardly Sally, dealt with the amourous advances of a local Lothario.

It was a toss-up whether Sally/Tim's well-earned dismissal or Tim/Sally's bizarre attempt at murder was more spectacular - but both seemed insignificant when Tim found he was pregnant!
