Moon Over Manifest by Clare Vanderpool
This will be a "HOT READ" in my library in a few weeks. I try to read the books I have selected for hot reads before putting them out.

82718 For those who like historical fiction and English country house novels with a bit of a mystery, may I suggest Kate Morton?

If you like a bit of magic in your realistic fiction, Sarah Addison Allen is a good choice.
82718 I own and use my Kindle 3G. Mostly I download free classics and use the "text to speech" to listen to them to and from work. My favorite kind of books to buy are trade paperbacks, they are lighter weight than hardback and cost less. I really like to read on my kindle, but I also love the way books feel and smell. I'm really sort of torn. Biggest downside to e-readers is that it's not as easy to loan and it is limited to one loan only, if at all. That's not right. If I buy a book I can loan it to as many people as I like.
82718 Just finished "The House at Riverton" by Kate Morton. Now reading "The Forgotten Garden" also by Kate Morton. Have a few others going on my Kindle. I usually read multiple books.

82718 Hi! I work as a librarian in an elementary school and I'm going to school part time. I plan to major in history and thinking about doing "museum studies" after that. I read anything and everything. I try to read as much childrens lit. as possible because it's good and I work with children, teachers, and books! I love poetry, nonfiction of all kinds, and historical fiction. I also really enjoy "magic reality" such as Alice Hoffman & Sarah Addison Allen.

I'm looking for a group to discuss books with. I have a hard time finding people who read as much as I do or like the same books as I do or have time to discuss them. You'd think working in education I would be surrounded by readers, but you would be wrong. I have always dreamed of being in a book club like in "The Jane Austin Book Club," but so far no luck with that!
