Love “the song of the white wolf”
And, of course, “toss a coin to your witcher”"

I picked up the soundtrack and have listened to, well, about half of it (it's three hours long, give or take). Great stuff!

80482 As the person who originally suggested lost continents, I have definite thoughts on the subject, but those all look like worthy contenders.

80482 The Kencyrath march onward -- finished Bound in Blood and immediately started Honor's Paradox (while sitting in a local pub, drinking beer and eating a very tasty curry).

It has a phenomenal line up of authors. Many stories I've never read too! I was like a little kid on his birthday when I found this one over the summer @ Goodwill."

For one thing, it was my first real introduction to Adrian Cole's Voidal stories.

That was a great one.

80482 In the games, at least, all Roaches are kind of magical in the sense that you can be standing in the middle of a vasty desert with nothing around you but desolation as far as the eye can see, then you can whistle for your horse and he'll come clopping up from just out of your line of sight.

80482 Yep, like Fafhrd & the Mouser's swords, he has the name that he just applies to whichever one he has at the moment.

80482 Oh, and I'll need to rewatch and check again, but they should've leaned more into the thing where Geralt just calls every horse he acquires "Roach".

80482 I just finished it and now I really want S2 (which, sadly, we probably won't see before 2021).

At some point I need to read Enge's second Ambrose trilogy.

Myself, I'm still reading P.C. Hodgell -- currently Seeker's Bane.

I do like all of those things ...

80482 Did I mention that I finished the both of them? Really liked them and now I need to wait for the concluding volume.

80482 I'm reading P.C. Hodgell's The God Stalker Chronicles, a series that is at least S&S-adjacent at its beginning. (I think it turns more epic as the series progresses.)

Seven Blades was definitely fun.

80482 Hmmm … I'm torn because my favorite story is probably "Beyond the Black River", but I'm not sure if that'd be a good one to include as an intro to REH.

If not, I'd probably go with:

1. Tower of the Elephant -- a good introduction to Conan

2. Worms of the Earth (toss-up between this and Kings of the Night

3. Three-Bladed Doom -- El Borak!

4. Shadow of the Vulture -- historical adventure and the original Red Sonya

Ask me again tomorrow and get a completely different list.

80482 Conveniently, on the day that Upon the Flight of the Queen is released, I'm starting For the Killing of Kings.
