After I checked out Finnegans Wake on Wikipedia, I might nominate it for most underrated book. Apparently it's hard to get through, so it remains pretty unread compared to his others.

True, true, but I'm glad you put Ender's Game first. Loved that book.

I asked a friend if I should read these a long time ago, and he said it's not for me. Too gritty. But maybe...

For me, it's Dune by Frank Herbert. Though fictional, I admire the Fremen culture and always come away feeling that I can do more with less.
I've probably read it 10 times or so, despite hating the ending.
What about you?

How far did you get through his stuff? I read all of WoT, but only because I wanted to get to Sanderson's part.

I hear you. Dune? Ender's Game?

William Butler for the win. I love "An Irish Airman Forsees His Death".

We read that in book club, and just finished reading the Zombie Survival Guide. Great stuff. I especially like that he takes it so seriously.

You had me at 'clearly written'.

I hear you. Fantasy took over sci-fi as my favorite a while back, although I still indulge quite a bit in sci-fi.

Personally, I like fantasy the most. Sub-category would be popcorn fantasy, the action movie of fantasy books.

I run weekly polls on Goodreads. If you friend me, you'll get them automatically.
Here's this week's poll: http://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/79183
I'd love it if you friend me, and you can even go back and vote in on the past polls, since they never close.
Thanks, and hope to see you soon,
