Honestly, to me it just says she couldn't move on. Just stuck with an ideal rather than reality. Just my opinion though.

Hmm I'll have to look into that.

There's an alternate ending? I wonder which one I've read!

I read this a few months ago in another group, so I'll save my comments for the final thread :) I hope everyone enjoys it!
Colleen wrote: "Alana- I'm really into it! Unfortunately I don't read that fast. Aren't they making a movie??"I have no idea, but it's one that would either be really good and sweet, or horribly over the top and pathetic, based on the subject matter.

I just finished The Art of Hearing Heartbeats, I was surprisingly impressed with it! The audio version was good, too.

Colleen I read that book in two days, I loved it!

I'm certainly surprised by some of the listings, though challenging books is certainly nothing new.

I actually enjoyed Grendel, but I remember feeling it was just really weird, too.

Apparently GR wants to italicize the entire last part of my post rather than just "reading." Weird. Or is it only showing up that way on my screen?

see, I hated Big Fish (the movie) but I wonder if I would have liked
reading the imagery more than watching it in this case. I imagine I would like the book a lot better.

bambi, really? I didn't know!

I didn't realize until reading some of these short stories that House was actually based on Holmes, but now it's so obvious! The drug addiction, the snide way he talks to people, the sneaky way of solving the problem... it's fantastic!

Kristina wrote: "Just finished Fahrenheit 451, and now I am deciding on what book to read next! Most Likely Inferno, by Dan Brown."I enjoyed Inferno. It's not a masterpiece but was quite enjoyable.

I just watched the movie yesterday, about 6 weeks or so after having finished the book. The book was absolutely incredible and while, of course, the movie didn't move me in the same way, it was visually astounding. So much color and life! Somehow, though, the scenes just drifting in the ocean were much more tedious in the movie than the book, at least to me.

I finally caught up on Downton Abbey this week... sigh. Great show, depressing season finale. Such great writing though, I'm really enjoying it.
Baheya wrote: "Been reading Anna Karenina for several months now, taking me a very long time to get through it."It's a long book, but keep at it, it's worth it!

Every time Toby was mentioned, I couldn't help but remember the Disney version of "The Great Mouse Detective." Toby was adorable! Of course, no drug use in that version ;)
