I have only just begun
Anna Karenina, but from what I have read thus far,
(view spoiler)[ I believe Anna's son is just that. I am in Part III of the story and it always focuses on how he does not speak to his father. Now, we have is inner thoughts to go on. But he hasn't really spoken to anyone in the story (so far). He seems to be a way to show how the affair effects, not just Anna and her husband, but their son too. Anna thinks she is afraid of Alexey, but if you read his thoughts, he is more afraid of being in the middle of the entire situation and not knowing how he is supposed to feel. (hide spoiler)]

I'm the exa..."Awesome! Glad I am not the only one. :D

One of the most impactful books for me was
The Pianist. I remember being so moved not only by Wladyslaw Szpilman's story but his passion/love/emotional connection to Chopin's music. There is a scene at the end...everytime I read it I feel like saying, "Yes, that is exactly how I feel about music too."
His story is something I recommend reading to anyone. He was afraid for his life, but his biggest fear was the fact that, for so long, he lost his best friend (the piano). I find that beautiful, to love music that much.

I will start using that link as well. I read through some of it when I read Jane eyre. I like to read the cliff notes to get an understanding of the symbolism and themes. I do it only because it helps me understand the writer and story's purpose better.
I am making pretty good progress so far. Started part III yesterday! Enjoying the book! I had always been intimidated by the length but not anymore. I actually want to tackle atlas shrugged now. Hooray for confidence!
