KJV translators translated from the Textus Receptus while newer versions (excluding the NKJV) were translated from Antioch or Alexandrian texts which were corrupt
Satan uses small things to divide Gods children such as this. People can learn plenty of truth from newer versions but essentially newer versions undermine God such as taking out the trinity, taking away from the deity of God, etc.

@Mel basically newer versions come from a different Greek text so they hold some major differences some which undermine God. I’ve seen people get saved by newer versions and grow but it’s hard to get right theology with newer versions.
