I absolutely prefer series books. I like knowing I have another all ready for me to read as opposed to having to search for another book.
This series was being labeled as taking womens rights back several decades. Do you find that to be true?
I enjoy so many books...they are like old friends...it's hard for me to say I like just one. I enjoyed the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series; I enjoyed Sookie Stackhouse as well; Twilight was good, but a little to desperate for me. 50 Shades is an absolute favorite of mine as the Wicked Lovers series.I have never Read the Game of Thrones series, but I have heard it's really good.
I'm currently reading the books by Rose Gordon (most can be found either in my "read" or "to be read" section on my books). I was at a loss as to what to read when I started these books. I find myself very drawn to them as they are historical fiction and that's my favorite genre. They are set in the early 1800's in England. In the same way, my favorite time period is the early to mid 1800's...before the Civil War...could you imagine living in the times of needing to marry higher than your station? What is your favorite genre of books? Do you have favorite books to recommend from that genre??
For those of you who have not read this series, be forewarned it's not for the weak of heart. I loved the entire series. There were a few story lines I did not care for, but over all...I love how Christian cares for Ana...and that in itself for me is the bottom line. What do you guys think of the way Christian cares for Ana? Do you find it too overbearing? If so, why? What did you think of his previous arrangements? Why were those important to the story line?Fifty Shades of Grey
