** Not a fan.
Two more to go: MC on holiday and Green. Aiming to get at least one done seeing that I read 1 non challenge book and began but gave up on 2 non challenge books in between. Happy thus far with progress.

**** Lots of twists and turns. Looking forward to reading more by this author.
Not sure if I'll get the summer challenge completed as I managed to get sidetracked again and am now half way through the first of the A Game of Thrones

Thanks for the feedback Ryan. I didn't know about being able to upload if I accidentally delete a book either- so thanks for the extra tit bit.
Learning a lot from this group. Thanks for sharing folks.

Thanks Brenda. That makes sense. I am not up to 1thou books yet:)

Now if it was annual...."
This kind of answers my question about the monthly fee for 'free' books Brenda. Thanks.

I also located online books from the WA e-library (for starters) but can't tell if you need to be a member to purchase. Anyone ever borrowed books online? (I'm old fashioned and used to going to a real library though am getting addicted to Booktopia.) Must not be looking in right spot.
And final question - if you have read a book and want to keep it on your kindle can you zip/condense it or will the kindle app get 'full'? My list of 'want to reads' grows faster than my 'have reads' since joining Goodreads so I don't want it to crash as the have reads grow.
Thanks in advance for any tips on the above.

I've just begun the first of the epic books that belongs to a friend, and am paranoid the pages are going to fall out as it has been loaned to many others and the pages quite thin and text soooooo tiny. Am afraid there may be going to be a bit of skipping some description here if I am to make my quota over summer challenge though....mmmm...or a different choice of text...

Thanks Michael, Brenda and everyone. It's great to be back in the land of books again. Today I was invited to joi..."
That's what I was wondering Michael. Will stay away and stick to other sources I'm aware of and have heard of on other Goodread pages. Ta.

Apologies if this isn't the spot to ask- happy to move queries elsewhere once guided.
thanks, Kerrie

Thanks Michael, Brenda and everyone. It's great to be back in the land of books again. Today I was invited to join another book group that seems to be doing the fb rounds. It involves sending a fave book to a person nominated by someone else, and then, if all others who join the listing do their part, you end up receiving other people's faves. Kind of like the old share a recipe chain I guess. Worth a try anyway to explore some newbies. Will let you know if I come across any must read Oz books this way.

I have been a bookworm since the year dot and used to record each year's digested books in a little notebook when I was in primary and high school. Then life intervened so it's lovely to resume an old habit and have gone back (in my mind) and tried to recall them all so I can add them to my ever growing GR listing.
The only thing is, that as I complete one book, and then look at the Aussie and Summer challenge reader entries, I seem to add 5 or 6 more to read. At this rate I'll need to love a very long time.
I enjoy historical romances, human rights (espec disability issues), autobiogs, mysteries and sci fi (as long as they aren't too gory or scary), kids books, dog tales, patchwork and craft books and more...Connecting to the GRs group has reignited my love of reading and helped put facebook back where it belongs- in the background.
I'm looking forward to discovering more books and kindle reads for the shelves. (I just found the listing of free book sites Brenda and co posted and others are adding to, so am off to explore more....)
