I would highly recommend The True Story of Hansel and Gretel by Louise Murphy for this theme. I read this book in March for my neighborhood book club and thought it was really good.

Me, too. Actually this is the August pick for my neighborhood book club so it works out great. We are reading the entire trilogy since we all the loved the first one.

I am also starting The Last Child by John Hart today.
