JoAnn, thank you for your comments. We think a lot alike. I'm enjoying my new Kindle as well. Your mini library idea sounds great. I've been adding to my library, too, by buying books in paper form to add to my other collections. Some that I really enjoy, I have read more than once. I figure if we can watch a movie we like several times, why not re-read books we like as well?

Thanks, JoAnn. I really appreciate your feedback. I enjoyed writing this story. I really got into Kiara's character. I tried to imagine how I might have felt. This story took me wayyyyyyyyy back to my childhood. Maybe that's why it was so easy for me to put my heart and soul into it. As much as I enjoyed writing it though, I was worn out by the end. That girl was a handful, but I love her!
Thanks again.

Books written in paper form or eBooks--which do you prefer to read? Personally, I prefer books in paper form because I'm old-school. I only recently started banking online and just got a Kindle.
During the era that I was growing up, the electronic gadgets of today were unheard of. It was years before my family even had a television. Maybe that's one of the reasons I love reading and writing so much. I've been a bookworm as far back as I can remember, and if I had a chance to go back in time, I wouldn't change a thing.
I am a creature of habit. It wasn't until I started pursuing writing that I finally got up the nerve to get out of my comfort zone. And am I glad I did! Because I love writing, and I am enjoying what I'm doing!
So as much as I like doing things the old way, I'm learning to get with the program. As much as I still love curling up with a good book (in paper form), now I also love curling up with my Kindle.
Happy reading!

I love writing! Some of my influences are my author cousin Jacquelin Thomas, my dear friend J. Hale Turner, and author Karen Kingsbury.

LIFE AFTER MOMMA is my newest eBook release and my first young adult fiction inspirational novel.
It's about 15-year-old Kiara Murdock whose mother died of breast cancer when Kiara was 13. Everything is cool between her and her dad until he springs his new female companion on her and her family at their annual family reunion.

I don't try to force myself to come up with ideas for my stories. The ideas usually come naturally, and when they do, I jot them down on a piece of paper and incorporate them into my manuscript later.
Once I run out of things to write about, I give myself a break for however long is necessary. Before long, the ideas start flowing again, and I return to my manuscript.
