I think, that if you are a natural storyteller, you intuitively know just how much to give. It does become difficult for new writers when they watch a television show or see a movie or even read a book and they say to themselves; "I wish they would have let me know that sooner, if I wrote that I would have filled in those details!" and then they write something and they do, forgetting the fact that the reason they walked away from the TV show, movie or book with such questions was the fact that it made them think in the first place. :D
