I'm not writing when I drive lol. I always seem to be behind the wheel of a car when I come up with and idea, "Omg, I need a keyboard, stat!"
Person in passenger seat looks slightly concerned.... :)

I have read and love all your books and can't wait for Chasing McCree. I would love to see what happens to Zack and Chloe in the future. Are you going to write about them again?
Cathy"
Yes I am going to write about them again. The second book is in the works :)

I never thought about taking people from adult novel..."
I have that problem too sometimes, that's when I shut my computer off and stare off into space and brainstorm :) Yeah, I love to think about what other characters would be like when they are younger. Or what their younger sibling would be like.

Begin with an outline or an idea you like, and make it a short story. Just a couple pages, then try writing another and make it a little longer. You never know what you can do until you give it a go :)

I think what motivates me, is what motivates the characters. I dream up a person, with the help of real life people, and then what makes them tick (Zack Warren is very loosely based on a guy I grew up with, and yes, he played baseball). After that I can't not write about them.
What also inspires me are the hero's and heroines from adult novels. When I read them, I always wonder what they would have been like in their teens.
As for POV, it's as easy to me as breathing. I started writing that way from the very beginning, years ago. It wasn't until I read Out Of This World, by Jill Shalvis, that I realized other people wrote this way too. I'd started to think I was the only one, and I got so excited! And to tell you the truth, I write what comes to mind first. For Chasing McCree, I actually wrote the last page first. The middle of the book is usually the last part I write. I've never started at the beginning and written straight to the end, and I don't think I ever will :)
