Ma..."Hi Mary,
It is great to hear that you enjoyed
The Crystal Ship. Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Your feedback is very much appreciated.
All the best,

I have heard it said that writing a story is like having a baby and whilst I have never given birth myself - and indeed never will - I can certainly see where the analogy comes from. For does the writing process not begin with the fertilisation of the imagination by an initial idea, which grows into the outline of a story in much the same way as an embryo grows into a baby? Once the story is fully developed, it emerges onto the page, before being sent out into the world to make its mark. The various stages of this process can be a little painful, but seeing the end-result makes it all worthwhile, which is why I decided long ago to have a very big literary family. If you want to find out more about my writing philosophy and/or methodology, feel free to ask me about them here.

If you've looked at my profile or visited my website, you probably already have a reasonable idea of my influences, but if you want to know more, feel free to ask. Even now, my writing continues to evolve as I read new books and explore new ideas - stagnation is the kiss of death.

If you have read my novel
The Crystal Ship and feel like commenting on it or want to find out more about the book, this is the place. I am more than happy to talk in-depth about any aspect of it, including the characters, the themes and my inspiration, though I'll be steering clear of any major plot spoilers.

Just wanted to offer my warmest greetings to anyone who is interested in participating in this little group. As the description states, this is your opportunity to ask me anything you like about my work or methodology. Let's start with the introductions... I'm C.J. Carter-Stephenson, author of children's novel,
The Crystal Ship and I'm very pleased to meet you. Your turn...
