I'd add The Gray House by Mariam Petrosyan. It's a brick and I need some motivation to start in on it.

I assume I'll check discord about as often as I remember Slack exists but why not. :-)

I wish I could figure out notifications, Goodreads send me 2 or 3 emails every time someone posts and I can't figure out why.
Mihwa- the next book after the Dispossessed is Gods of Jade and Shadow.

Hey Dustin, I was wondering where you were. I think for next month (or more?) Third Place Books is doing Zoom meetings for book clubs. It seemed to work ok.
I think this is the link to register for the next one on May 18th.

Yes, let me see if I can add you

Sounds like Third Place Books is going to facilitate some kind of online book club this month.
Mary should have more info and promised to join the discussion.

It's good to know Zoom is working well, we're in the middle of Pandemic Legacy and trying to figure out how to set up a system to keep playing remotely. Hangouts gave me a massive headache when we tried to use it last weekend for too large a group.
I'm happy to discuss Dune or pick another book as a random discussion if Dune should be saved for whenever the bookstore reopens. My focus is rather lacking lately so needing to finish a book by a certain date might actually help.

Awesome. I'll be really interested to hear if you read past there and your thoughts on Children of Dune & God Emperor of Dune. I remember them being *really* strange but it's also been probably 20 years since I read them.
I'll add the Stormlight Archives to my list. I need to do a book order soon anyway.

There's always Dune Messiah while you wait, and the path down toward the weirdness of the rest of the series.
Anyone reading anything good? Doubling down with the Stand or World War Z? Feel good lit?

Third Place Books is postponing all March book clubs at this point. Hopefully we can still do Dune in April and push our book choices forward from there.
Hope everyone is staying healthy and relatively sane with work-from-home or school closures.

I'm up for Remembrance of Earth's Past at any time now- Death's End was something else.

I'd second Walkaway. Maybe The Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi, although I think that's the start of a series, or The Rise & Fall of D.O.D.O by Neal Stephenson.
