Prose by Design is now open for submissions for Horrors of Halloween, an anthology of short stories edited by Cindy C Bennett and Sherry Gammon. The story should revolve around Halloween or horror. Your story may be in any genre (contemporary, historical, paranormal, supernatural, etc.) as long as the main theme is either horror or Halloween. The inclusion of vampire, werewolves, and/or ghosts is entirely up to you, the author.

Your story must be "clean" which means no profanity or explicit sex scenes. We all like a little heat, but keep it PG13 or better. Your story must be a minimum of 5,000 words and a maximum of 25,000 words. Royalties will be based on the number of authors published in the anthology. 50% of all profits will be divided equally among the authors. The final percentage will be specified in the contract.

Your story must be submitted by Midnight PST July 31, 2012 as .doc or .docx files. Manuscript should be 12 pt. Calibri, Times New Roman, or Arial with block style paragraphs (no tabs). Write "Halloween Horror" as the subject of the email, and include the following information in the body of the email: Name, penname (if applicable), and the title of your story. You may submit multiple stories, but only one story per author will be included in the anthology. Stories must be original and previously unpublished in any format. All authors will be informed of whether their story has been chosen to appear in the anthology on or before August 15, 2012. Contracts must be signed and returned on or before August 31, 2012. Prose by Design retains the right to edit your story for grammatical errors.

The story should revolve around a romance that either originates or mainly takes place during the summer months. Your story may be in any genre (contemporary, historical, paranormal, supernatural, etc.) as long as the main theme is love and romance.

Your story must be "clean romance" which means no profanity or explicit sex scenes. We all like a little heat, but keep it PG13 or better. Your story must be a minimum of 5,000 words and a maximum of 25,000 words. Royalties will be based on the number of authors published in the anthology. 50% of all profits will be divided equally among the authors.

*Prose by Design to offer eBooks for review to a minimum of 3 blogs first month of release, twice per month each subsequent month for the first 12 months, once per month each subsequent month for months 13-24 after release**
*blog page created for book, with author having access to write blog posts
*FB fan page for book created
*marketing strategies to help you be successful as an author
*bookmark design to complement book cover with first bookmark order
*bookmarks and business cards offered to author at a discounted price
*eBooks offered at a discount to author for any additional blogs/review sites outside of the free copies***
*paper books offered at a discount to the author to sale on his/her own site or to use for giveaways/reviews
*contract extensions in 12 month increments available at end of original contract
*all rights revert to author at end of contract or extension
*higher royalties than offered by traditional publishers paid monthly beginning on 3rd month - with traditional you have to wait until the 7th month
*quick publication - no waiting for over a year as you will with a traditional publisher
