Heh. Yes, GoodReads is very addicting, which can be both good and bad! :D

Jules - Awesome! You're a mod now. I'm planning to go ahead and mod everyone in the group. Kind of unusual, I suppose, but that way we all create our own challenges. Enjoy goodreads!
Chiara, Sonni - You're both mods now, too! Thanks and have fun! :D

Hi! Do you mean when you join a challenge? The way GoodReads does challenges is that they count books when you add them to a certain shelf. Like, for the official GoodReads challenge, they count all books that you add to your "read" shelf. And, to create shelves, go to the
edit shelves page. There's an option for adding shelves at the bottom. So, for example, I'm doing the
Authors to Catch Up in 2012 Challenge and I created a
shelf for that challenge. Every time I finish a book that counts for that challenge, I'll add it to that shelf and the challenge will count it.
I'm not sure if I'm making any sense at all, so let me know if you have more questions or if you meant something else!
(Also, I tried to add you as a mod so you could create your own challenges, but it told me I couldn't since you don't have a verified email address. So let me know if you have a challenge you want me to create.
These are the ones that already exist, but I can add more if none of them are what you're looking for.)

YAY!
Yeah, I kind of doubt I will, but it'll be something to shoot for and I think it'll make me read more than I would otherwise, even if I don't complete it?

I see you on the authors challenge! Anyway, I modded you, so I THINK/hope you can create your challenges yourself? (There should be a "create challenge" link on the bottom of the list on the top right).
But if not, let me know.

So, right now, I'm working on my "next" challenge, which is a subdivision of my "to-read" pile (the books I want to read immediately).
Also, I created a challenge for the authors I want to catch up on this year. These are the books that are sitting on my shelves by authors I've read before this year.

What are your challenges for the year? Talk about them!

Ask questions! Ask for help with creating or joining challenges! You get the idea.

Say hello! Tell me if you want to be a mod, so you can create your own challenge or what kind of challenge you want me to create for you.
