It is your decision if you want to be friends with potential readers/reviewers or not. And again, it is completely your decision how you choose to react when that friend reviews your book. Does this help?

Many authors here "review" their own books. I mean if I wrote a book, I'd think it was all that, wouldn't you? But the friends that had reviewed the book could have become "friends" after they had posted the review, right? I have had many such requests from authors who befriended me after I had reviewed their book.
