He does to a degree. There are recent aspects to the storyline that are a result of his input. However, he's nine and his interests are rather scattered (as can be said of any boy his age). I tell him what I'm doing with the story and get his opinion.

Not really. I expect there to be 6, but that could change if the story grows beyond what I can write in 6 books.
