"Well, if you don't need us anymore I suggest you get going before a nurse comes looking." Posy said somewhat annoyed. Nightshade left quickly after.

"Well, she certainly is annoying!" Posy exclaimed.

Oh, um, well according to my friend I'm addicted to popsicles because I'm always eating one while I'm texting him so yeah... I just like popsicles.

"Huh, I guess so... Except that you have a little more control then I did!"

"Fire, not as much anymore but when I was really young I had power over fire. Nobody ever taught me how to use it properly though so I would set things on fire by accident. My dad thought I did it on purpose though. My parents never sent me to school because they thought I would burn something."

"My mom, she didn't want to leave me. But then my dad he tried to kill me one night, get rid of me before I did anything. I fought him and I won. My mom realized how much power I had and they fled. My brother he came home the next day and took off to find them. I was 7 left to care for myslef and my brother- Alec- never came back." Damian felt like he was drowning, he was supposed to protect Violet- not the other way around.

"Well, I can always dream about it. Sigh. If only my parents actually cared."

Jack whispered to Sara, "I think we should pretend we're with the caravan. Maybe we can talk to the guy who tied the bandana. Be cool though, okay?"

I want to be a baker. Or do something in forensic science.

When she finished reading Damian just sat there. "See, I'll never be as good at reading as you are! I've always wanted to go to school and be more than a crummy street-rat. I wanted to be a math teacher. I can add things up and do angles and stuff easy, but since I can't read it'll never happen."

"Shh, I think I hear them coming. Now remember don't move until they're completely gone!"

Soon they heard rumbling and a caravan of noisy travelers came and trashed the trail, sure enough as they were clearing out a man tied a red bandanna around the biggest oak.

"Nella, why don't you go with Landon out to the gardens?"

"Anyway, I'm not going to make you go back to the hospital but do you have a place to stay? And can you get around on your own?"
