Alexander had turned away to give them a little privacy when Nick kissed her, but at Chloe's words he burst out laughing. "Man, it's totally obvious what's going on now," he tried unsuccessfully to stop his laughs by covering his mouth

He tackled Chloe, forcing her into the water. "Ha!" he said once she came up spluttering. He grinned innocently and splashed her a little

Alexander fell ungainly into the water, Chloe still on his back. He pushed her off playfully, "Man, what do you eat? You're so heavy!" he teased, trying to ignore Nick

She looked at him. "What's so funny now?" she sounded slightly irritated.

"One of the vampires in his clan. She didn't think I was worthy of him apparently. She attacked me and I defended myself." there was no hint of regret in Valentina's voice.

"You think? I was helping him by killing that vampire, but he won't listen! He's such a bloody idiot!" she looked really angry. "And now the vampires here are all going to want to kill me!"

Valentina shot him the evil eye. "This seriously sucks! I really hate it when vampires are after me..."

Alexander laughed and splashed some more water at her. "Who doesn't?"
