I finished the book and I loved how you could tell how much heart was put into it. This book was written with a lot of emotion. I personally had a small problem keeping up with the different perspectives. This might not have been an issue for anyone else lol. However, I appreciate the thoughts and elements that went into this book and I still look forward to reading more of Jacqueline’s work in the future.

I’ve read “Brown Girl Dreaming” by Jacqueline Woodson in the past, and remember really enjoying it. I can’t wait to delve back into her fluid, beautiful writing style.

This is such a fun theme, can't wait for 2020!

In 2019, I read 37 books (not including the small editions of graphic novels), and I would like to one-up my goal by one book. I think I can reach it, but as I am going into college soon, I don't want to see my goals way too high.

The Graveyard Book is an amazing choice for this!!
However, my choice is going to be Caraval by Stephanie Garber, because the night is not quite as it seems.
